Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio. Such subcompact models are produced at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus factory located in St. Petersburg. The production of the budget Hyundai Creta crossover was also established there. Almost the entire Russian Kia model line is produced by the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant.
St. Petersburg enterprise of the Japanese auto giant produces the famous Camry sedan and RAV4 crossover.
Nissan cars are also manufactured in the Northern capital — Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano crossovers. Another representative of the Russian line of Nissan, the Terrano crossover, which is an analog of the Renault Duster model, is produced in Moscow at the Renault plant.
In July 1998, an agreement was signed with the Moscow government on the creation of a joint venture Avtoframos on the basis of the AZLK plant.
The plant in Kaluga produces a number of models of Volkswagen Group brands. Currently, Kaluga operates the production of the popular 1.6 MPI gasoline engines EA211 series.
Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi
Volkswagen Group is not the only foreign car manufacturer’s factory in Kaluga. Since 2012, the PCMA Rus factory (Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi Automotive), which previously engaged in screwdriver assembly, has been operating there. The company, which produces Mitsubishi Outlander crossovers and Peugeot 408 and Citroen C4 sedans, was the first in the world to produce various cars of the PSA group (Peugeot Citroen) and Mitsubishi Motors.
The Haval brand of Great Wall Motors concern appeared in 2013 and already in 2014, the Chinese took care to build a new assembly plant outside the Celestial Empire. As a result, it became the Tula plant «Khawale Motor Manufacturing Rus», which began to be built at the end of 2017 and opened on June 5, 2019.
Mazda products are manufactured in Vladivostok at the facilities of the Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus, a joint venture established in 2012 by Mazda Motor Corporation and Sollers. The plant produces CX-5, CX-9 crossovers, and Mazda 6 sedans.
Recently, the Stuttgart E-class has a Russian residence permit, namely, modifications of the E 200, E 200d, and E 200 d 4Matic with rear and all-wheel drive. Business-class sedans are manufactured by an enterprise opened in the spring of 2019 in the Esipovo industrial park in Solnechnogorsk, Moscow Region. Daimler’s total investment amounted to more than 250 million euros.
More recently, Ford produced cars in Russia. Now, production has been limited to commercial Transit — they are assembled by the Ford Sollers Elabuga plant. source
